Rep. David Trone (D-Md.) questioned Peggy E. Gustafson, inspector general of the U.S. Department of Commerce, on Thursday at a House Appropriations Committee hearing on the budget for fiscal year 2024.
Trone expressed his disappointment in America’s lack of investment in research facilities, and intellectual property theft by China.
