‘Weakest Support’ From US for Israel in Decades: Former Diplomatic Adviser

With President Joe Biden pressuring Israel to prioritize protecting civilian life while it pursues its military goals against the Hamas terrorist group—which uses Palestinian civilians as human shields—questions are arising over the United States’ support for its major ally in the Middle East.

Aryeh Lightstone, a former adviser to the U.S. ambassador to Israel and a former special envoy for the Abraham Accords, told NTD that this is the “weakest support” for Israel from the United States he’s seen in his lifetime. He also said that there has never been a war in history where the goal of protecting civilians had precedence over the primary military objective—thus challenging President Biden’s stance on Israel’s offensive against Hamas.
