The Committee on the Present Danger: China held a webinar on Dec. 16.
With severe lockdowns and the continuation of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) seemingly unending violations of basic human rights, the Chinese people have finally taken to the streets demanding freedom. Many have called for the end of the CCP and demanded that CCP leader Xi Jinping step down. As a result, the CCP seems to be easing its lockdown policies. Yet, the dream of total freedom has not died out in China.
The webinar discussed China’s COVID-19 protests and their implications for the future.
