‘When Did the Government Decide What to Do With Our Bodies?’: Mayor Pro Tem on Vote Against Mask, Vax Mandates

The Huntington Beach City Council in Southern California voted 4 to 3 on Sept. 5 against imposing any mask and vaccine mandates.

This comes as the county’s Health Care Agency reported an increase in COVID-19 cases, but it has not led to an increase in hospitalizations.

Mayor Pro Tem Gracey Van Der Mark, the one who drafted the motion, spoke about the new development.
