President Donald Trump was in seven different states in the seven days leading up to his COVID-19 diagnosis.
Trump, 74, and First Lady Melania Trump, 50, tested positive for the new disease late Thursday, the president said. COVID-19 is caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus.
Trump has come into contact with top officials in his administration, Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett, and a number of supporters in the past week.
The source of Trump’s infection wasn’t shared publicly as of yet but White House aide Hope Hicks, who traveled with the president on some of his recent trips, tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, Trump said hours before he confirmed his own test results.
Here’s where Trump has gone in the past week.
Thursday, Sept. 24
Trump and the first lady went to the Supreme Court in Washington to pay their respects to late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. They both wore masks during the outdoor ceremony.
Trump later traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina, to deliver a speech before holding a rally in Jacksonville, Florida.
Friday, Sept. 25
Trump, still in Florida, participated in a roundtable at Trump National Doral.
The president also went to Atlanta, Georgia, where he delivered remarks on his black economic empowerment plan.
Saturday, Sept. 26
Trump at the White House introduced Judge Barrett as his nominee to the Supreme Court. He stood within six feet of Barrett and some of her family members.
Trump departed Washington and held a rally in Middletown, Pennsylvania.
Sunday, Sept. 27
Trump held a press conference in the White House. He also hosted a reception at the White House for Gold Star families.
Gold Star families refers to relatives of service members who died while serving in the military.
Monday, Sept. 28
Trump inspected an electric truck built by Lordstown Motors outside the White House.
He later gave an update on his administration’s COVID-19 testing strategy from the White House’s Rose Garden.
Tuesday, Sept. 29
Trump went to Cleveland, Ohio, to debate Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. They were indoors without masks but remained socially distant.
Biden’s campaign didn’t respond to a request for comment on whether he’s been tested for COVID-19 since the debate.
Wednesday, Sept. 30
After a fundraiser in Shorewood, Minnesota, just west of Minneapolis, Trump went to Duluth in the northern part of the state for a rally.
Thursday, Oct. 1
Trump took a trip to his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, where he met with supporters.
Trump returned to Washington in the evening.
