Widespread flooding in Jamaica after heavy rain

Jamaica is hit by flash floods on May 16 after weeks of heavy rain.

In Spanish Town, several roads have been washed out and rushing water overflowed the riverbank.

There are widespread power outages in Kingston, the capital and at least six towns, according to local reports.

The government has issued a flash flood warning for low-lying areas that will remain in effect through Wednesday, May 17.
