Wife of Chiefs’ CEO Shares Views Similar to Butker’s

The commencement speech by Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker continues to dominate the news.

Mr. Butker appeared as the commencement speaker last week at Benedictine College, a private Catholic liberal arts school in Kansas, and said most of the women receiving degrees were probably more excited about getting married and having children.

Mr. Butker also said some Catholic leaders were “pushing dangerous gender ideologies onto the youth of America.”

Tavia Hunt, wife of chairman and CEO of the Chiefs Clark Hunt, posted on Instagram some comments that seemed to be in support of the content of Mr. Butker’s speech.

She said “affirming motherhood and praising your wife, as well as highlighting the sacrifice and dedication it takes to be a mother, is not bigoted. It is empowering to acknowledge that a woman’s hard work in raising children is not in vain.”
