Sen. Eric Stephen Schmitt(R-Mo.) criticized the Biden administration for politicizing military recruitment on Wednesday at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing.
“China is militarizing islands. They mean business. And we’re having to spend time to talk about DOD’s $114 million budget request for diversity, equity, inclusion [DEI] training,” he said. “Is there any intelligence that you’ve heard that communist China is intimidated by our DEI initiatives?”
