Evacuations from Afghanistan resumed the week of September 11th, as the Taliban allowed the first flights to take off from Kabul’s airport after the U.S. pullout on Aug. 31.
As rescue efforts continue, private groups have taken the lead role. We speak to Rick Clay who runs Afghan Rescue Crew (ARC) Plan B to hear what’s happening on the ground and how he got involved in it.
Plan B is one of the many private rescue groups that have sprung up attempting to make sure that nobody who wants to get out of Afghanistan is left behind. That includes American citizens, green card holders, and special immigration visa applicants and their families.
