Wisconsin’s highest court dismissed on Thursday an election-related lawsuit filed by the President’s reelection campaign. The lawsuit was filed on Dec. 1 to challenge the results of the 2020 general election in Wisconsin.
In a 4-3 ruling, the court ordered the Trump campaign to file an appeal to the circuit court.
The lawsuit alleged that officials in Wisconsin violated the law by counting at least 170,000 illegal ballots. The suit sought to de-certify Wisconsin’s election results, which were certified on Nov. 30.
Some of the judges acknowledged that there are valid concerns about how the election was conducted, but said that such questions needed to be addressed by lower courts.
