PARKER, CO (KMGH)—A Colorado woman has become something of a celebrity around her gym after she won a national fitness contest.

Crystal Overdeck of Parker lost 35 pounds during Lifetime’s 60-day challenge. She has lost a total of 70 pounds since her fitness journey began.

The nurse and mother of five was motivated to get healthy so she could continue helping others.

“I just needed someone who was going to be fun and make it a good time,” she said.

Lifetime set Overdeck up with personal trainer Cole Fritz and she began a program of heavy strength training. She also started focusing more on the macronutrients in her diet.

Overdeck was one of thousands of participants in the 60-day challenge. She said she was shocked and a little embarrassed when she found out she won.

“Hopefully it does inspire others to know it’s possible,” she said.
