This woman’s family made $11,000 for missing their flight three times. The money was payed out in gift cards for popular stores. Each time they went to the airport, they were paid to give their seats to others. Flight cancellations had caused massive back ups.

Laura Begley Bloom said about her experience, “So we finally looked at each other after spending all day in the airport, it was exhausting, and said maybe we should just cancel this trip. So we said that to the airline, they said ‘fine we will refund your tickets’ and they sweetened the deal with another $1000 per seat compensation so in total we made $11,000 from Delta Airlines for missing our vacation and taking a couple of bumps and spending a lot of time at the airport this weekend.”
