Rep. Frank Pallone (D-N.J.) pressed TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew on data collection on Thursday at a House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing.
“Under our bill, you can only use the data for your own purposes, not to sell it to anyone. Would you commit to not selling your data to anyone?” Pallone asked.
