Two of the worlds’ largest memory chip makers may be in trouble. They’re warning that China’s pandemic-driven lockdowns could disrupt manufacturing.
Korea’s Samsung and U.S.-based Micron Technology are raising the concerns, warning that strict curbs in China’s Xi’an city could disrupt their chip manufacturing facilities there.
Chinese officials imposed tough travel bans on those looking to enter or leave the city. The rules took effect in late December.
The restrictions are also worsening global supply chain holdups.
