Chinese cooking uses “toss the wok” as way to substitute stirring with spatula which will enable the food to be heated up more evenly at a certain temperature. In addition the sauce or spices can have better absorption into the food.
Tossing the wok may look simple but it is never easy as we may easily spill the scalding food while trying to toss it. Even more so when it is heavy and we have hot burning fire coming from below.
So what a surprise it is seeing a kid who is tossing the wok in a skillful and professional way. Despite his tiny arms he manage to handle it well. We bet that dish will be tasty too!
