Zoo animals eat Easter lunch of watermelons, grass, and alfalfa

Animals at a Florida zoo ate Easter treats. They ate an Easter lunch of grass, alfalfa, and watermelons. Zebras, elephants, and rhinos all joined in.

The watermelons were painted to look like Easter eggs. Schoolchildren visiting Lowry Park Zoo helped to prepare the treats. Some of the animals were confused by the paint. Others knew exactly what to do.
