Actor Joseph Wayne Miller who appeared in the 1990s Disney movie “Heavyweights,” died at the age of 36, TMZ reported on Wednesday.

Miller’s mother, Patricia, said that he died in his sleep in Chicago on Tuesday, Jan. 9. The cause of death is not yet known, and his girlfriend reportedly discovered his body.

Miller’s only acting credit was “Heavyweights,” which starred Ben Stiller, Judd Apatow, and others. In the film about a weight loss camp, Miller played Salami Sam.

Other details about his death are not known.

In the TMZ report, his mother said he suffered from sleep apnea. According to WebMD, the condition is a “serious sleep disorder that occurs when a person’s breathing is interrupted during sleep.” It adds, “People with untreated sleep apnea stop breathing repeatedly during their sleep, sometimes hundreds of times. This means the brain—and the rest of the body—may not get enough oxygen.”
