Mickey Lee, the bold event curator who appeared on "Big Brother" Season 27, is fighting for her life in an intensive care unit after suffering a series of cardiac arrests, her friends and family revealed this week.

Lee, 35—who is originally from Jacksonville, Florida, and currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia—remains in critical but stable condition, according to a GoFundMe campaign launched to help cover her mounting medical expenses.

The news has sent shockwaves through the "Big Brother" community, with current and former contestants rallying to support the woman who became one of the season's most memorable players.

"To know Mickey is to love Mickey," wrote Jimmy Heagerty, one of Lee's closest friends from the season, in an Instagram post urging fans to donate and share her story. Heagerty said that Lee "needs all of our love and support now more than ever."
Lee's battle came after complications stemming from the flu spiraled into cardiac arrest, according to an Instagram post from her account. The sudden crisis has left her family grappling with not only the emotional toll of her condition but also the financial weight of intensive hospital care.

The fundraising page created to support Lee's recovery outlined the financial pressures her family now faces: medical expenses not covered by insurance, ICU and specialist care costs, rehabilitation support, and family travel and lodging expenses during her recovery.

The fundraiser has raised over $28,000 of a $40,000 goal.

During her time competing on the CBS reality series this year, Lee made an undeniable impression. The event curator and creative force placed 10th overall and was evicted during week eight of the competition.

Lee held the position of head-of-household during week four, when she used a special interrogation power to remove Rylie Jeffries from the position. She was part of several influential alliances throughout her time on the show, though her domineering leadership style ultimately made her a target for eviction.

"Big Brother" fans and contestants have been showing their support since the news broke. Ashley Hollis, who won Season 27, shared a message of hope on X, writing that she is “sending her whole family love this holiday season.”

Rachel Reilly, a previous "Big Brother" winner who also competed in the latest season, offered her encouragement in the comments section of Lee’s post. "Prayers Mickey," Reilly wrote. "Thinking about you and your family."

The fundraising effort asks supporters to contribute financially if possible, but organizers said that prayers and positive energy matter just as much. The campaign encouraged fans to share Lee's story within their networks to expand awareness and support.

"Mickey has touched so many lives through her courage, bold personality, and unforgettable presence on Big Brother," according to the fundraising page. "Let's show her the same love and support now when she needs it most."
