Tuscaloosa County, Ala. (WVTM)—Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday afternoon to a report of a body found inside a well at a vacant house located at 10517 Will Walker Lane.
Investigators, along with the Tuscaloosa County Road and Bridge Department, excavated a large area and located a body in the well.
Authorities said they believe the body to be that of missing Marka “Willoe” Watkins, 20.

Watkins was reported missing by her grandmother on June 25.
Investigators identified several people who were involved in the disappearance and death of Watkins, according to police records.
Officials said they believe Watkins was at one of the suspect’s home in the 20000 block of Tanya Drive in Tuscaloosa County where she was assaulted and killed.
The suspects then drove Watkins to the Will Walker Lane location to dispose of the body, authorities said.
Investigators have charged Kendal Tyler Battles, 29, and Joseph Brandon Nevels, 20, with murder and abuse of a corpse, according to police records.
The investigation continues.
