China Evacuates 40,000 People Amid Severe Flooding

A bridge in China was spotted overflowing with water on Tuesday after heavy rain hit the area.

The bridge is located in China’s southeastern Sichuan Province, where over 40,000 have now been evacuated.

Other regions are also getting drenched, including Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan, Jiangsu, Hunan, and Guangdong.

Flood waters have swamped streets, crept up staircases, and sunk cars. In Shaanxi, over 1,200 have been evacuated.

Officials have repeatedly warned of extreme weather and geological disasters throughout July.
