Former President Donald Trump has filed a brief with the U.S. Supreme Court in his appeal of the Colorado decision to keep him off the primary ballot. President Trump argues that the decision was based on a “dubious interpretation” of the 14th Amendment, and that he did not engage in insurrection.

In support of the former president, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, and 177 members of Congress filed an amicus brief.

Larry Kidd, Republican congressional candidate for Ohio’s 2nd district filed one as well, and NTD spoke with him to discuss.
