Cygnets are afraid of jumping into water, what their parents do next is priceless

When I see things like this it always makes me question whether animals have the capacity for cognitive thought. Clearly they’re nervous and afraid, then one goes, and the other follow shortly.

Definitely this seems like they had an “ah, so it’s not all that bad after all” moment. Seems like a complex multipart thought process, which is pretty cool, considering that for a long time I just assumed that evolutionary instinct would compel them to jump.
