Head of ISIS in Afghanistan confirmed killed

The leader of ISIS in Afghanistan, Abdul Hasib, was killed on April 27 by a team of U.S. Special Forces and Afghan soldiers.

A spokesman for the Afghan Defense Ministry confirmed the death on May 8.

Hasib is believed responsible for many ISIS attacks including one on a military hospital.

His predecessor, Hafiz Saeed Khan was killed by a U.S. drone strike.
