A Chinese company’s growing presence in the United States is putting lawmakers on alert due to its ties to the Chinese military.

Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.), chairman of the House Select China Committee, is asking the Pentagon to blacklist a tech company. That way, it wouldn’t have access to American capital.

The company is called Quectel. It’s the world’s largest supplier of IOT modules. Electronic devices need these components to communicate with digital networks.
