A huge fire has broken out at a warehouse in northern London, with witnesses saying they saw a “fireball in the sky.”
The London Fire Brigade tweeted that 15 fire engines and 90 firefighters are trying to contain the fire at a paint factory on Waterloo Road, Staples Corner. “Please avoid the area if possible,” the service said.

One woman told the Mirror that she saw a “fireball in the sky” amid the blaze.
Drivers have been advised to avoid the area around the fire.

Paula Cogan, a witness, wrote on Twitter: “Lots of smoke, noise and an eerie red sky in the direction of Staples Corner due to a warehouse fire. Keeping the windows closed – hope everyone is safe!”

A Twitter user wrote: “HUGE fire off north circular just now. Literally exploding, plumes of smoke. I think it is a warehouse although not confirmed.”
Fire officials told the Daily Mail there were no reports of injuries.
“We were called to a fire at a warehouse in Waterloo Road, Staples Corner at 9:21 p.m.,” a fire official told the Mail. “We are using 15 pumping appliances, fire engines and other specialist appliances to surround the fire.”
