Judge Sides With Staten Island Residents: Illegal Immigrant Shelter at Former Catholic School Must Close

The immigration crisis in New York is continuing unabated. Now a Staten Island judge has ruled that illegal immigrants must be removed from a former Roman Catholic school that was being used as a shelter. Residents objected to unvetted illegal immigrants being given accommodation at the St. John Villa Academy. The former school is located in a residential area, and close to a local girls’ school. NTD’s Daniel Monaghan spoke with local community organizer and former congressional candidate John Matland about the situation on the ground.
