The affected cookers, which feature both pressure cooking and air frying capabilities and have a 6.5-quart capacity, were sold in black with the “Ninja” logo displayed on the front.
The cookers were sold at major retailers including Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, Amazon, and Target, both in stores and online, from January 2019 through March 2025, typically retailing for around $200, according to the CPSC.
SharkNinja has received 106 reports of burn injuries in the United States, with more than 50 cases involving second- or third-degree burns to the face or body, and 26 lawsuits have been filed, according to the CPSC.
In Canada, as of April 10, there have been five reports of lids being opened during use, but no injuries reported, according to Health Canada.
Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the pressure-cooking function of the recalled units and to contact SharkNinja for a free replacement lid. The product’s other functions, such as air frying, can still be used safely, according to the company.
SharkNinja instructs owners to remove and discard the original pressure-cooking lid after registering for the recall and to avoid using the pressure-cooking function until the no-cost replacement lid arrives.
