The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Texas can enforce an immigration law that allows state authorities to arrest illegal immigrants. The law goes into effect for now, as the Biden administration’s lawsuit continues to play out in lower courts.

The White House and congressional leaders reached a deal to fund the government for the rest of the year. The deal includes funding for key agencies, such as the Department of Homeland Security, which is set to run out by midnight on Friday.

Five states are holding primary elections—Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Kansas and Ohio. One of the key races to watch is the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate in Ohio. It’s a competitive race with three candidates, including Bernie Moreno, who is backed by former President Donald Trump.

Former Trump adviser Peter Navarro turned himself in to a prison in Miami and began his four-month prison sentence. He was found guilty of contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena from the House January 6th committee.
