In the aftermath of the deadly shooting in Washington, President Donald Trump announced new immigration policy proposals.

On Friday, the State Department ordered a hold on issuing visas to Afghan passport holders and the United States has paused all asylum applications.

United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) also announced a review of applicants from 19 high risk countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, and Cuba.

NTD spoke with Jessica Vaughan, director of Policy Studies at the Center for Immigration Studies for more.
