Newly declassified documents show that China’s communist regime sought to influence the 2020 presidential election. Acting Director of National Intelligence Bill Pulte released the files on Tuesday. According to the documents, the operation was designed to exploit social divisions in the United States, particularly racial tensions and partisan disagreements.

The files also say the Chinese regime used social media platforms—including TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter—to amplify those divisions. Joining us to discuss the newly declassified documents and the Chinese regime’s alleged election interference is David Zhang, host of David on China.
