Appeals Court Upholds Block on Trump Order to Tighten Mail-In Voting, Citizenship Verification

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced on Nov. 22, that Brazil, Ecuador, and the Dominican Republic joined The Clean Network.

The Trump administration's initiative is designed to safeguard the privacy of citizens and companies' sensitive information from aggressive intrusions. On its official website, it states it's aimed at countering the Chinese Communist Party.

One of the most important means is to purge Chinese tech companies from 5G networks outside of China, such as Huawei.

Pompeo tweeted that “53 Clean Countries, 180 Clean telecommunications companies, and dozens of leading companies” have joined the tide toward a trusted 5G network. He added, they represent two-thirds of the world’s GDP.

The initiative was launched this April. It expanded later to include Clean Carrier, Clean Store, Clean Apps, Clean Cloud, and Clean Cable.

Some of the largest telecom companies of the world have become  “Clean Telcos,” such as Jio in India and O2 in the UK.
