Prosecutors in New York are ready to rest their case against former President Donald Trump in the business records trial after they hear what they expect fixer Michael Cohen to say: That President Trump knew the records for the reimbursement checks would be falsified to cover up their link to a supposed hush money payment.

However, according to John Malcolm, the vice president of The Heritage Foundation's Institute for Constitutional Government, Mr. Cohen’s testimony will need to be corroborated by "lots of documents" in order for any jurors to believe him. This is because Mr. Cohen is a convicted perjurer, which means he has previously lied under oath.
