A heartwarming end to an airport abandonment. A dog left behind at Harry Reid Airport in Las Vegas has a new forever home with the officer who rescued him.

The Golden Doodle–nicknamed Jet Blue–was abandoned at a ticketing counter earlier this month after his owner allegedly went to her gate without him.

Police say the pup was placed in foster care during a mandatory 10-day hold when the owner failed to claim him.

Officer Skeeter Black, who responded to the call, has now officially adopted Jet Blue with his family.

Police say what began as a heartbreaking act of abandonment has turned into a powerful example of compassion, teamwork, and community partnership.
