House Passes Defense Policy Bill That Attaches SAVE America Act

Former Federal Prosecutor Jim Trusty joined NTD's Steve Lance to discuss the legal implications of the Senate Homeland Security Committee voting to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress, after Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment rights more than 100 times during a COVID pandemic-related hearing.

Trusty said Fauci can be held in contempt of Congress but there are a lot of hurdles to impose punishment on Fauci. Trusty also compared and contrasted the convictions for contempt of Congress for former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, and Counselor to the President of the United States Peter Navarro, and he discussed Congress's role in conducting oversight and ensuring accountability for wrongdoing that occurred during the COVID pandemic.

Trusty also discussed President Donald Trump's executive order to stop abuse of birth tourism, and said the president is taking corrective action to shut down a real threat to national security and election safety.
