An unconventional partnership has been formed between the FBI, Chinese, and Russian law enforcement officials.

FBI Director Kash Patel said they have been working together since 2025 to crack down on transnational crimes, including fentanyl trafficking, cyber fraud, and child sexual exploitation.

The partnership marks a major break from the past, raising concerns about the risks of sharing domestic security information with top U.S. adversaries.

Former FBI supervisory agent, Jeff Crocker, said there are enormous risks for giving Chinese officials access to the U.S. intelligence community.

He warns that Chinese and Russian agents could use the opportunity to infiltrate.

Patel said the information exchanges are narrow in scope and reciprocal, adding that the United States is extremely mindful of China and Russia's adversarial approach.
