EPA Suspends Anti-Smog Regulations to Ease Gas Prices

Former federal prosecutor Jim Trusty joined NTD's Jack Bradley to discuss the burden of proof in FBI Director Kash Patel’s $250 million defamation lawsuit against The Atlantic for an article that alleged he had episodes of "excessive drinking and unexplained absences."

Trusty also discussed Tuesday's indictment against the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) for the misuse of $3 million to fund informants in extremist groups.

Trusty said accusations that the SPLC was helping to fund extremism were significant and valid.

Trusty also discussed a federal appeals court’s permanent injunction blocking the implementation of a California law that required federal immigration agents to wear identification. Trusty says it’s a Supremacy Clause issue in the Constitution that says once the federal government is in charge of something, they stay in charge.
