Dr. Gatza advises people that showering as soon as coming home and keeping pets away from bedrooms and furniture are important steps in minimizing and managing the body's exposure to pollen. She also advocates for the uptake of digestive enzymes that strengthen the immune system, minimizing stimulants that interfere with nutrient absorption, and sticking to whole foods. Keeping physically active is important too, she said.
