A hot-air balloon with 13 people on board made an unexpected landing in a California backyard on Saturday. The pilot said the wind died down, forcing an emergency landing in a residential area.

No one was injured as the balloon touched down safely on the property. A crew later arrived and removed the balloon from the backyard.
