How much vitamin D, beyond the “recommended dose,” is needed to fight cancer? What’s the right balance of copper and zinc to stem tumor growth?

Dr. Dwight McKee had been successfully treating cancer patients for 12 years using natural medicine—including nutrition—before going on to train in oncology.

“I was able to significantly help about 20 percent of the stage four patients … I’ve had people with tumors that all disappear. That was early in my career,” recalls Dr. McKee.

“I think later in my career, I was doing quite a bit better than that,” he adds.

For “Cancer Safeguard PART 1,” Dr. McKee highlights where nutrition meets conventional medicine to offset copper toxicity and stem tumor growth. He also reveals where the “official line” on vitamin D dosage falls short on cancer prevention.

What’s “considered normal … is based on a vitamin D deficient population,” says Dr. McKee.

The recommended dose is 400 units—“that’s [just] the dose required to prevent [childhood bone disease] rickets,” he adds.

Dr. McKee is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology, nutrition, and integrative and holistic medicine.

The “Vital Signs with Brendon Fallon – Cancer Safeguard” series will go beyond conventional medicine to explore the bigger picture of cancer prevention, treatment, and aftercare.
