Protesters gathered in Gyeongju, South Korea, on Wednesday to participate in an anti-Chinese Communist Party (CCP) rally, opposing Chinese regime leader Xi Jinping’s visit for an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.

The protesters held signs, wore costumes, and waved flags reading “Lies and Deception Out” to voice their resistance to the Chinese Communist Party.

“The people are still trying to promote friendship with Western world free countries, they want it, they don't want communism,” said Sim Jae-Hong from Free-Univ, the organiser of the rally.

Xi is set to meet President Donald Trump in South Korea on Thursday, setting up a widely anticipated encounter that traders and investors on both sides of the Pacific hope will ease months of trade tensions.
