Appeals Court Upholds Block on Trump Order to Tighten Mail-In Voting, Citizenship Verification

Retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Robert Maginnis, a senior fellow for national security at the Family Research Council, joined NTD to discuss the implications of the Trump administration’s shift in Iran war strategy from kinetic warfare to economic pressure. Maginnis said the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is trying to outlast President Donald Trump, but that Trump wants the conflict to end on U.S. terms.

Maginnis said that Iran’s army, the Artesh, has been relocating into areas near Basrah, Iraq, and Kuwait City, Kuwait, indicating that Iran’s regular army has a different idea—possibly to bait the United States into an incursion into the area that is the entrance to the largest oil fields in the country. Maginnis said the IRGC is ideologically charged, radical, and does not intend to give up to either the United States or Israel.
