"This is a politically driven pressure on Israel," said Mr. Wurmser, who said the United States withdrawing support for Israel will embolden Hamas. "The Israelis are still quite popular ... in the United States, its people, the support for Israel is actually quite high—despite the very loud demonstrations ... you see around the country."
