Footage online shows workers throwing various objects at officers and the police force running away from angry protesters.

The conflict comes as 8,000 workers were laid off by a local drug manufacturer.

During the pandemic, the factory was a big supplier of COVID-19 testing kits with 10,000 employees.

As Beijing abruptly turned away from its "zero-COVID-19" policy, mass testings, and quarantines also ended.
