The move follows President Donald Trump’s announcement that the United States will suspend tariffs on most countries, while increasing rates on Chinese imports.

A federal immigration judge has ruled that Mahmoud Khalil, a Columbia University pro-Palestinian student activist, can be deported. Meanwhile, a Maryland judge is ordering the Trump administration to pursue the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia from a prison in El Salvador.

The Pentagon has dismissed the commander of a U.S. base in Greenland, citing her opposition to the administration’s policy toward the Danish territory. The move follows her base-wide email that broke with official messaging after Vice President JD Vance visited the base.

The White House says Trump is dissatisfied with how Russia and Ukraine are handling peace talks, as a U.S. envoy meets with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Separately, the United States and Iran are scheduled to hold nuclear talks on Saturday. If no deal is reached, the United States is threatening military action.
