Protests erupted across the United States Saturday, with crowds rallying at the National Mall in Washington and other locations against the Trump administration's actions. Organizers of the "Hands Off!" rallies are demanding an end to cuts to federal programs, and what they allege to be billionaire influence in the government and attacks on illegal immigrants and other groups.

Severe thunderstorms and relentless rain are triggering flooding across the United States this weekend, as areas already devastated by recent storms and tornadoes remain in the path of the current system. <span class="production-element" data-production-element-type="instruction">At least nine people have died in the storms since Wednesday.</span>
