Former President Donald Trump's legal team has filed a federal lawsuit against Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen, a Trump spokesperson confirmed with The Epoch Times on April 12. The team alleges that Cohen breached his attorney-client relationship by spreading falsehoods about the former president.

In a tweet on April 8, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said he wants to pardon Sergeant Daniel Perry who was convicted on April 7 in the 2020 fatal shooting of an armed BLM protester. Abbott said the sergeant is protected by the Texas “Stand Your Ground” law. NTD spoke with an attorney who said the move is too soon because Perry hasn’t been sentenced yet.

In a special meeting, the Shelby County Board of Commissioners in Memphis, Tennessee, voted to reappoint Justin Pearson to the House seat he represented. Pearson and his fellow Democrat Justin Jones were expelled last week, after leading gun control protesters onto the House floor.

Firefighters worked overnight trying to put out a fire at a recycling plant in Richmond, Indiana, that started on Tuesday. Now city officials are saying they knew the recycling plant was a fire hazard all along.
