A Brazilian Supreme Court justice ordered the suspension of Elon Musk’s social media platform X in Brazil within five days after Musk refused to name a legal representative in the country, amid a months-long feud with the justice over free speech.

After holding a rally in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, former President Donald Trump is scheduled to appear at the annual gathering of Moms for Liberty in Washington on Aug. 30. Trump made headlines after he told NBC News he will require insurance companies to pay for in-vitro fertilization and that Florida’s six-week abortion ban was too short.

Vice President Kamala Harris sat down for her first major media interview since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee. Appearing alongside her running mate Gov. Tim Walz on CNN, Harris clarified some of her shifting policy positions, addressing the border crisis, support for Israel, and fracking.

Israeli forces said they killed a local Hamas commander in the West Bank, as well as two other members of the terrorist group. This came as Gaza gets ready for a temporary pause in fighting for a massive vaccination campaign.

Ukrainian authorities said at least eight civilians were killed in Russian airstrikes on two cities. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy fired the country's air force commander after the crash of an F-16 fighter jet donated by the West.
