Russian President Vladimir Putin apologized to Azerbaijan’s president Saturday after an Azerbaijan Airlines flight crashed after entering Russian airspace, killing 38 people. However, Putin stopped short of saying Russia was responsible for the incident.

North Korean soldiers deployed to assist Russia in its war on Ukraine are allegedly taking drastic measures to avoid capture. This comes as Russia faces its highest number of casualties in a single month.

Severe thunderstorms are intensifying across the South. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Particularly Dangerous Situation Tornado Watch for parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, which will remain in effect until 9 p.m. CST.
