A major shift for U.S. air travelers takes effect today. Adults flying domestically must now present a Real ID or a federally accepted alternative at TSA checkpoints. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem reassured travelers without a Real ID that they will still be able to fly on Wednesday if necessary.

An Indian airstrike has killed at least 26 people in Pakistan, and Pakistan is threatening retaliation. India says it targeted only terrorists responsible for last month’s deadly attack that killed 26 tourists—but Pakistan claims India's strikes hit civilians. International leaders are calling for de-escalation between the nuclear-armed neighbors.
