Trump revealed that the United States and China are actively in talks amid escalating tariffs. He promised a trade deal with Europe, as Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni became the first European leader to visit the White House since the start of the reciprocal tariffs.

As U.S. officials hold peace negotiations in Europe, fighting between Russia and Ukraine continues. Trump says Russia is expected to respond to a cease-fire proposal this week. He also noted that the United States and Ukraine could sign a critical minerals deal as early as next week.
